The Student Run Homeless Clinics (SRHC) was started in 1989 by the Department of Family Medicine at UCLA to provide free medical care to people who are homeless and underserved. Clinics occur weekly and are supervised by licensed UCLA faculty physicians, serving over 1400 patients per year. The SRHC serves at our various clinical sites, including the Santa Monica Shelter (Samoshel), Union Rescue Mission on Skidrow, Hope Gardens in Sylmar, Skidrow and Westwood street outreach, and more.

Our services include preventive health, screening physical exams, urgent care, chronic disease management, wound and foot care, immunizations and referrals. In addition to medical care, the SRHC is working to expand our services to the communities we serve. Most recently, we have expanded our street medicine services to the homeless populations in neighboring Westwood Village as well as Skidrow.
