Student Run Homeless Clinic

The Student-Run Homeless Clinic aims to triage, to screen, and to provide urgent care to underserved and homeless patients at multiple shelter sites throughout Los Angeles. SRHC medical students regularly assist in preventing emergency department overutilization and refers patients to be connected to primary care in partnership with other clinics in the area.

Alongside this goal is our organization's intent to improve medical students' clinical acumen and to prepare and to educate them in health issues specifically affecting the underserved so as to improve their ability to provide care for this vulnerable population.
