About
Roberto Gonzalez Huerta was born in Hidalgo, Mexico, and raised in Petaluma, CA. Throughout the years, seeing his parent’s struggle to obtain healthcare prompted him to pursue a career in health and fight for health equality. He attended UC Berkeley where he was involved in Chican@s/Latin@s in Health Education(C.H.E.) as well as the Highland Health Advocates where he promoted access to healthcare in the community. After graduating with a double major in Integrative Biology and Psychology, he worked for a community health center before attending medical school. During his free time, Roberto enjoys sleeping, reading fiction novels, and exploring new places to eat. Roberto ultimately aims to be a compassionate physician that serves underserved communities.
