About
I'm a second year medical student at Charles R Drew University/ UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, and I have a commitment and understanding for diversity, volunteering and mentoring. I graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles where I earned a BS in psychobiology with a minor in spanish. After graduation, I completed a post baccalaureate program at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine in which I volunteered in many free health fairs in underserved communities throughout the year and provided health services for uninsured patients. As a medical student, I have volunteered at several health fairs and free health clinics in underserved communities with the Latino Medical Student Association and as the secretary I am there to help and support the co-presidents. As a mentor for Partnership for Progress at Charles R. Drew University, I mentor high school students in the Watts/Compton area who desire to pursue a higher education in the STEM field.
