About
Grace is originally from Montana, she is a member of the Crow Tribe and a descendant of the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Tribes. Grace is an assistant professor in the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She completed a doctoral degree in biological and environmental engineering at Cornell University. Dr. Bulltail’s research lab group focuses on natural and water resource management, land use, and resource sovereignty in Indigenous communities. Grace is a member of American Indian Science and Engineering Society board of directors and is a professional engineer licensed in the state of California. Grace serves on the U.S. Departments of Interior and Justice Not Invisible Act Commission charged with addressing the crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous people.
